On October 1, Intersport France and Belgium (2024 revenue: €3.88 billion with 980 stores, 6% online) launched the automation of the Plaine de l’Ain logistics hub, expanded from 45,000 to 82,000 sq.m. [mind Exclusive] Intersport invests €40 million in automating a mega-warehouse with TGW
On October 1, 2025, Intersport inaugurated a new automated warehouse in the French Eastern region (Plaine de l’Ain). Expanded to 82,000 sq.m and fully financed by the cooperative with a €40 million investment, the facility is now equipped with TGW order-picking robots to support the growth of omnichannel operations and the rollout of in-store click & collect.
