In the United States, Walmart announced the surprise departure of Greg Foran, who ran Walmart U.S.A. for the past five years, i.e. 4,769 stores excluding the Sam’s Club cash & carry stores. Greg Foran is replaced by John Furner (aged 45), in charge of Sam’s Club since 2017. Furner is another veteran of the Bentonville retail giant alongside Doug McMillon, current C.E.O. of the world’s biggest retailer.
