During the month of February 2017, physical retail sales grew by just 0.4% year-on-year in the U.K. in total. In the quarter to February 2017, non-food like-for-like sales fell for the first time since 2011 with a -0.4% drop whereas grocery sales remained at +2% (source: BRC-KPMG). Conversely, online non-food sales grew by 8% in February, accounting for 22% of total non-food sales in the U.K.
