In the fiscal year to mid-September 2017, the low-cost fashion retailer Primark (a subsidiary of Associated British Foods) reported sales of €8 billion, an increase of 12% at constant currency exchange. The British retailer said that the weakened Sterling Pound continued to drive sales. Over the past 12 months, Primark opened 30 stores in nine countries, covering over 150,000 sq.m GLA.
