In the end of September 2021, the grocery retailer LuLu Hypermarket (US$7.4 billion turnover in 2019) opened its 15th store in Qatar (Abu Sidra shopping centre in Muaither, sales area of 24,000 sq.m). It includes a large bulk area, a vegan butchery and automatic checkouts. The store also houses a cooking school, where local and international chefs will hold virtual and in-person cooking sessions.
