On 13 December 2022, Rakuten launched an integrated payment solution in France in partnership with Mastercard and Marqeta, for members of the Club R loyalty programme (12 million members). Deployed with 2000 e-retailers like Asos, Nike, Lego and Marionnaud, and eventually throughout Europe, this solution allows members to make purchases on their e-commerce sites, pay with the Club R Pay solution, and benefit from cash-back (between 5% and 35% of purchases) in their Rakuten kitty.
