Lego unveiled sustainable plant-shaped bricks made from sugar cane plastic. Building bricks are composed of 98% polyethylene, and meet guidelines laid down by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as naturally produced by the absorption of CO2 by sugarcane during growth. The company expects to integrate these bricks across the brand by 2030 to prioritise plant-based materials and maximise recycled sources in its manufacturing processes.
