In November, the Turkish Parliament passed a new environmental law to restrict plastic bags from 2019, supported by automatic recycling machines that take recyclable materials in return for credit or cash. Shopping malls and supermarkets are required to have reverse vending services. “By 2021, there will be automatic machines everywhere in Turkey,” said Baran Bozoğlu, Head of the Chamber of Environmental Engineers.
