Ten years after the purchase of Dutch operator Rodamco, Unibail Rodamco completed an historic takeover deal of rival Westfield Corp for US$15.7 billion. This December deal, whilst subject to legal approval, would create the world’s 2nd largest mall operator by market capitalisation behind Simon Property (via a gross market value of US$72 billion and assets in 27 countries).
