On May 14, Google unveiled its new search engine powered by Gemini generative AI. After having tested the display of natural language answers in SGE since May 2023, Google is now extending this functionality to all users in the U.S.A. Called “AI overviews”, it will be rolled out more widely by December 2024. Other features on the roadmap include video-based visual earch and AI-assisted responses in the form of schedules for travel or meals for instance.
