Guillaume Motte, President of Sephora Europe and Middle East, has been appointed as Deputy C.E.O. to Sidney Toledano, who heads the LVMH Fashion Group (brands Céline, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Kenzo, Loewe, Emilio Pucci, Patou and Rossimoda).
This new position aims to strengthen the management of a group of brands often overshadowed by the conglomerate’s major houses, namely Louis Vuitton and Dior. Guillaume Motte’s mission will be to help these small and medium-sized brands achieve synergies in terms of logistics, omnichannel transformation and CSR. A successor at Sephora has not been named.
Guillaume Motte is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris. He has a Master’s degree in economics from Cambridge University and an M.B.A, starting work at McKinsey in 1995. He joined the retail industry in 1999, holding general management positions at Fnac for 8 years, before becoming C.E.O. of Al-Tayer Trends Group in 2007. He directed the Jennyfer fashion retailer for 6 years, Celio for 3 years and joined Sephora in 2018.
