Areva: amendment to the European agreement on equal opportunities establishes social dialog as a pillar for its implementation

Basically, the agreement perpetuates the ODEO approach, born from the European project launched in 2008 by the signatories of the agreement to spread it, and partly funded by European budget lines for social dialog (about ODEO – Open Dialog through Equal Opportunities, see our dispatches No. 090158 and 090477). The management and the European works council select committee decided to continue this approach during the second year and to formally introduce it into the agreement during the third. Thus, the aim of this amendment is to “formalize and perpetuate the ODEO approach” and to “enrich the renewed agreement with best practices identified through the ODEO project” which are listed in the appendix.
