The Workers’ Central Union (Central de Trabajadores de la Argentina, CTA) announced it wouldn’t discuss wage increases below 30-35 percent at the next round of collective negotiations. Together with the General Confederation of Labor (Central General de Trabajadores, CGT), it is threatening to organize a national strike in March. The auto federation is suggesting quarterly bargaining meetings to regularly adjust wages to inflation.
No bargaining under 30-35 percent. Before collective negotiations start, Argentinean unions are joining forces to call for wage increases making up for the loss in buying power.
