The French insurance group promised, on February 22, 2007, during the presentation of its 2006 results, to give out shares to the group's employees throughout the world. This decision fulfils a request the European WC made in November. The council, which met on March 8 in Cologne (Germany), worked on the setting up of the issuing plan. (Ref. 070231)
During the general assembly of the Axa group’s shareholders, on March 14, 2007, the insurer’s management decided to submit a proposal aiming at giving out shares issues to all of the group’s employees throughout the world (90,228 employees,) given the results achieved in 2006. The group realized a 79 billion euros turnover and a 5.1 billion euros net performance, increasing of 18% when compared to 2005.
