Netherlands: retirement at 65 without enthusiasm

According to official statistics published on June 20, a majority of workers does not want to work until the official retirement age, which is 65. Only 4 employees out of 10 consider "possible" to work until this age, and 2 out of 10 express "the desire to do so". (Réf. 06640)

This is no surprise; the prospect of working until 65 years old is least popular in the construction industry, the hostelling sector, agriculture and industry. These are the most demanding sectors when it comes to physical effort.
