Belgium: elaboration of a tool in favour of equality between men and women.

A workgroup composed of social partners and the Institute for equality between men and women elaborated a new evaluation tool for wage categorization. It is the "no-sexism check list in the evaluation and the categorization of functions." It is accompanied by the "Guide during functions' valorizations." (Ref. 070578)

This initiative was embodied as part of the interprofessional 2007-2008 agreement which reprimands social partners’ will to work towards more wage equality by asking companies to evaluate their wage categorization in terms of gender neutrality and to make, if need arises, the necessary changes. The “no-sexism ‘check list’” in the evolution and the categorization of functions” is an additional tool to help companies realize a diagnosis from a series of questions (see attached file).
