Brazil: union front validates 7.5 percent wage increase in the chemical industry

On Thursday, the CUT and Força syndical unions both approved the renewal of the 2013/14 collective labor agreement for the chemical sector in São Paulo State, covering nearly 280,000 workers.  This review implements a 7.5 percent wage increase, i.e. a 1.82 percent real increase.  (Ref.  130790)

An agreement validating the new 2013/14 collective labor agreement for the chemical industry in the State of São Paulo was signed on November 14 by the State’s chemical workers’ federation (Fetquim, affiliated with the CUT, the major union organization) and the State’s federation of chemical and pharmaceutical workers (Fequimfar, affiliated with Força sindical).
