Four years after Canon bought the Dutch company Océ NV, a new agreement that was signed before the summer in accordance with article 13 of the Directive Recast, (treating changes to a company’s legal structure), established a new EWC. The agreement comes under British law via transposition under the auspices of the new Directive. Previously both companies each had their own committees regulated by Dutch law via Anticipation agreements.
These two companies previously had Anticipation agreements operating under Dutch law. The Japanese company’s (Canon) committee had been modified to include the useful effect of consultation. After Canon bought the Dutch company Océ NV this agreement was renegotiated with Canon’s European Consultative Committee and approved during its latest plenary meeting as was the case with Océ (in the Océ NV European Information and Consultation Forum).
