On 16 March Chile’s Labor Ministry together with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) signed a partnership agreement for an expert committee to be set up in the next few months and formulate an employment quality index
On 09 March this expert committee was announced. It is being headed by LSE researcher Kirsten Steinbruck and made up of researchers, Chile’s employee and business representative bodies, international bodies (ILO and IDB), and members of Chile’s government. The group will, in particular, have to contextualize employment quality within Chiles’ labor market, and identify and select the parameters to be used in formulating this qualitative employment index.
