On September 25, the employers' organization Dansk Industri (DI) presented its "Plan B" which would enable to hire 200.000 new workers in eight years, and this to solve the important workforce shortage. (Ref. 070808)

According to the DI, the important workforce shortage, which concerns large companies as well as small businesses, the private and the public sector and all levels of employment, is a true curb on Danish growth. According to the employers’ organization, in 2008, the labour market will need 50.000 additional workers and the situation is only going to worsen. To face this, DI developed a strategy which should enable to hire 70.000 people in the short run and 200.000 by 2015.
