Denmark: government presents 2012-2015 plan promoting CSR

“The government is expecting Danish businesses to act responsibly here and on the global market.  First, it is the right thing to do, and second it brings about new growth opportunities.”  This is how Minister for Business and Growth Ole Sohn presented, on March 26, the government’s new 2012-2015 plan for the promotion of corporate social responsibility in Danish businesses, so that the “country will remain a leader in this area.”  Titled “Responsible Growth,” it lists actions to undertake in four areas and as many objectives:  1) improve compliance with international principles; 2) increase responsible growth via partnerships; 3) increase transparency; 4) promote a favorable framework for responsible growth in the public sector.  Here are the key initiatives.
