On October 2, the government presented an “ambitious” draft reform of vocational education with the consent of LO and DA, which signed a joint opinion on the issue listing objectives to achieve the same day. The government wants to reach a political agreement on this reform before Christmas so it can come into force on August 1, 2015. Its primary goal is to make vocational education more appealing for young people, who are currently not showing much interest. (Ref. 130595)
