Denmark: large businesses and government are banking on CSR

The Commerce and Companies Agency (Erhvervs- og Selskabsstyrelsen) recently published an analysis on the impact of the “årsregnskabslov,” the law of December 16, 2008 which forces large businesses to report on their CSR policies and outcome in their annual report.  For its 2nd year of application, 6 percent of the businesses concerned are still not complying with the law.  However, among the 94 percent that do, 87 percent have allegedly adopted socially responsible policies.
