Will 2015 be an historic year for union mergers in Denmark? Whilst the merger between the two main Danish confederations, LO and FTF will be at the top of their respective agendas during their Autumn congress meetings, two unions under the LO umbrella: NNF (23,000 members) and Dansk Metal (108,000 members) have initiated talks for their merger to take effect as of January 2016. The aim is to strengthen union influence at both company and national level.
