Estonia: the new law on labor contracts to come into force on July 1, 2009

A few limited improvements for employees. In addition to the more specific definition of the content of the labor contract, one can see that employees’ rights to a private life have been considerably increased, since the employer can no longer go through their things or read their emails. The obligation for the employer to provide vocational training to his employees is introduced, and other provisions are aimed at improving employees’ safety when a fixed-term contract is terminated.
