On October 9, 2007, the European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism (EFFAT) and the European Federation for Contract Catering Organizations (FERCO), supported by the European Commission, launched the social dialogue committee in the contract catering sector. (Ref. 070836)
Until now, European social partners from the contract catering sector have pursued a rather informal social dialogue. Thus, several joint initiatives were taken, notably the signature in 1999 of an agreement on employment and training and a joint declaration in 2002 on food hygiene and safety.
