The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) Executive Committee meeting on 21 and 22 October adopted the resolution entitled: Towards a new framework for more democracy at work” pushes for increased workers’ involvement in current (SE) and future European company forms. This new framework directive provides for stronger rights to information and consultation and imposes the implementation of workers’ involvement in business management’s bodies.
Towards a real European vision of European company law. At a time when workers’ involvement is seen as “more of a liability than a benefit for businesses,” the ETUC aims, via this resolution, to negate this assertion and defend a business model based on social justice and sustainability.
