To mark the European year of equal chances, European employers from the telecommunication sector (ETNO) published a booklet, broadcasted in seven languages, which describes a certain number of initiatives "aiming at encouraging diversity in the professional sphere". (Ref. 070507)
The booklet identifies approaches towards a more diversified clientele as well as regarding its own staff, with a view to :
- Sensitizing the different actors to promote diversity. The booklet revealed “that most companies established a structure enabling to treat employee’s complaints through an internal regulation procedure.” In addition, it cited a few in-depth initiatives such as the signature in 2004 of the Diversity Charter at France Telecom or even the one signed within Belgacom in 2006,
