EU: Commission launches consultation on the introduction of an optional framework for transnational company negotiations

The parties concerned by European and/or international framework agreements have until the end of the year to submit their views on the relevance of European action supporting these practices. Indeed, yesterday, September 10, the Commission published a working document based on the work done by a group of experts since 2008 and is once again testing its idea of optional framework for transnational company bargaining. Set up in 2008, this group of experts, composed of representatives from national government, the European social partners, researchers, academics, European institutions, the ILO or even businesses, looked, until 2011, at the development of transnational company agreements. Pointing out that the work done by this group has not led to a consensus on the pertinence of European action to support these negotiations, the working document the European Commission published yesterday serves as a basis
