The situation was clear. The near certainty that BusinessEurope will not agree to negotiate a revision of the directive on European EWC’s has led the European Commission to schedule in its agenda the adoption of a draft directive in July 2008 after the end of the second consultation stage of European social partners – likely to be launched next week for a period of two months – and the results of an impact study henceforth attached to all community legal projects.
