On 15 February, social partners in the insurance sector – the trade union UNI Europa Finance and employer groups Insurance Europe, Amice (representing mutual insurers), and Bipar (insurance intermediaries) – signed two joint statements in which they commit to working together in order to limit the negative effects of digitalisation, as well as regulatory requirements and compliance, on workers in the sector. In the two joint statements, the social partners underline the importance of training as well as efforts to preserve work-life balance and wellbeing in the workplace.
A statement on digitalisation. The latest statement from social partners renews a push that began with a previous statement signed back in 2016 (see article n°9871), and on this occasion stresses the need for training as well as the commitment of social partners.
