EU: European social partners reach joint framework of action on youth employment

This text, negotiated by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the BusinessEurope, UEAPME and CEEP employers’ organizations, will be presented in Brussels on June 12.  Based on a joint assessment of young people’s situation in the labor market, the European social partners have identified four priorities (learning, professional transitions, employment and entrepreneurship), upon which they want to act (themselves or their national organizations).  They are also sending national government and the European Commission recommendations on policies to implement to avoid creating a lost generation.  (Ref.  130371)
