On September 29th, tens of thousands of people answered the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC)’s call. From about thirty countries, they all marched in Brussels to protest against the European Union’s policy, exclusively focused on cutting the Member States’ debt and not enough on social matters. The same day, the European Commission announced reforms to the Stability Pact to sanction Member States with too many debts.
