EU : publication of the decision establishing a Community program for employment and social solidarity (PROGRESS)

This program, merging four existent programs, is intended to support various activities in the domains of employment, protection and social integration, working conditions, fight against discrimination, diversity and gender equality. Funds are accessible to the social partners. (Ref 061143)

The decision of the European Parliament and Council establishing the PROGRESS program is published in the Official Journal of the EU of November 15th, 2006. Before the decision establishing this program, there were four Community action programs on the following topics: fight against discriminations, gender equality, fight against social exclusion and measures to incite people to work.
