EU: the European Commission does not intend to legislate on working time in the urban transport services

The European Commission published a report on the application of directive 2003/88 of November 4, 2003 on working time for workers concerned with the carriage of passengers on regular urban transport services. However, the Commission does not plan to adopt specific legislative provisions for this sector. (Ref. 06785)

According to the terms of directive 2002/15 relating to working hours in the road sector, working time in the regular urban mobile personnel and transport sector whose course does not exceed 50 kilometres, comes under the general provisions of directive 2003/88 of November 4, 2003 relating to certain aspects of the adaptation of working time.
