Yesterday, December 16 the President of the European Commission presented its work plan for 2015. Jean-Claude Juncker contained the plan to 23 initiatives. From amongst the priorities is youth employment, labor mobility, information exchange between national taxation authorities, and an action plan to combat tax evasion and tax fraud. The European Commission will also clear the legislative decks and withdraw 80 directives next year. As for the outstanding directive on maternity leave, if it is not adopted within six months it too will be withdrawn.
Yesterday on December 16 the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker together with First Vice-President Frans Timmermans outlined to a sparsely populated European Parliament each of the 23 new initiatives that makes up the work plan program.
