…EU: the European Parliament will soon adopt its report in the first reading of the draft directive on the portability of the supplementary pension rights
The European parliament should speak out on April 23, in a first reading, for or against the proposal for a directive on the portability of the supplementary pension rights. The draft report adopted on March 22 by the European MPs of the social affairs commission, removed from the text any commitment to enable the employee leaving his/her company to transfer the rights he acquired in his/her company pension scheme towards another and simply brings closer national legislation in terms of acquisition and guarantee conditions for the vested rights.
