The EMF, EMCEF, ETUF-TCL, UNI-Europa, EPSU, EFFAT, EFBWW and FET published, on Tuesday, February 9, joint recommendations to guide the members of special negotiating bodies and EWCs during the transposition of the new directive published in June 2009 (about the directive, see our dispatch No. 090447). These recommendations are aimed to warn wage negotiators about all management attempts to use the window enabling to sign agreements derogating from the new directive’s provisions (until June 5, 2011) to sign or renegotiate agreements before the enforcement of the new rules and therefore avoid being subject to the new directive’s legal framework, which is more precise.
