Clariane, the French retirement home and private clinic group, has agreed to a charter on social dialogue. Signed on 25 October 2023, it aims to extend trade union freedoms in countries where they are least guaranteed, to ensure social dialogue at the level of each establishment and to train all managers on the issue. mind RH unveils the text.
Clariane, which became a mission-led company on 15 June 2023, wished to make a commitment to “inclusive governance” by signing a charter with the European Works Council, trade union organisations and the EPSU (European Public Service Union). The company, then called Korian, had been hit by a crisis over working conditions and the treatment of patients in French retirement homes, in the wake of a scandal at its main competitor Orpea.
