As part of efforts to attract and retain staff, the social partners at Engie Energie Services have agreed to introduce a four-day working week, giving employees a day off. The trial will start on 1 September and run for a year. It is aimed at non-executive operational staff working full-time, meaning those who do not have the option of teleworking. …France: Engie Energie Services trials four-day week
On 24 June, the management of the French energy group's services subsidiary and the CFE-CGC, CGT and FO trade unions signed an agreement governing a four-day working week trial for operational teams. The working week will be maintained, but employees who volunteer will be given an extra day off. This one-year pilot project, which will start on 1 September 2024, may then be extended depending on the results.
