On 06 December, four trade union bodies (CFDT, CFE-CGC, CFTC and UNSA) and the French Insurance Federation (FFA) signed the insurance sector’s first ever framework agreement on telework. Although not binding, the agreement is expected to serve as a benchmark for company negotiations in a sector where teleworking is now becoming the norm. The text, that its signatories consider to be ‘not very innovative’ recognises the need both to support teleworkers in specific situations and to train managers.
Following the pharmaceutical sector’s agreement struck in September 2021 (c.f. article No.12693), the insurance sector has become just the second in France to have an agreement on telework.
