France’s Official Journal of 26 March published a decree that modifies arrangements for calculating State compensation allowances to be paid to employers operating under partial unemployment situations and it also relaxes the procedure for companies seeking support as they face the health crisis related business slowdown (here).
Employers to shoulder less of the compensation burden and employees on fixed day contracts to be eligible for partial unemployment. Compensation for non-worked hours still amounts of 70% of gross salary. However instead of employers bearing the full compensation responsibility, the State will take on more of the burden, so that employers will in turn receive a partial unemployment allowance that should cover 100% of the employers’ outgoing payments up to a ceiling of 4.5x the minimum salary...
