On March 30, the French Supreme Court, solicited by the Parliament’s left-wing minority, fully validated the “law for equal opportunities” which notably introduces the “first job contract”. The Constitutional Council, which checks the conformity of laws to the Constitution, has validated the law creating the very disputed "first job contract" (CPE). The follow-up is now up to Jacques Chirac, who must decide or not to promulgate this law. (Réf. 06314)
