Germany: IG Metall threatens Airbus to strike to ensure the future of employees from four factories on sale

In the "Augsburg Declaration", presented on November 14, 2007, the IG Metall union, Airbus Germany's central works council and the WC of Airbus' Augsburg factory set their conditions so that the future and the jobs of the employees working in the Augsburg, Laupheim, Varel and Nordenham factories can be ensured. In the event of a refusal, they announced massive mobilisation from German employees. (Ref. 070945)

For the Augsburg declaration’s signatory parties, Airbus is faced with serious problems (increased paces, delayed deliveries, mistakes in management, euro/dollar exchange rate).
