ember 9 by the Federal Statistics Agency show that labor costs have been still in Germany for the 3rd 2009 quarter compared with the second 2009 quarter. It is a sign of stabilization of working time, therefore of economic recovery. Compared with the same period in 2008, the numbers gathered for a year still show a 4.8% increase in hourly labor costs, after a 5.3% increase in the first 2009 quarter compared with 2008 – one of the highest increases in the EU.
