egional federation in North Rhine-Westphalia signed an agreement with the region’s five sectoral employers’ organizations to allow leasing employees between businesses. This crisis measure should help protect regular jobs by limiting appeal to temporary work and layoffs. The lease can’t be done if the employee and the WC don’t agree. Unlike other sectors, recovery prospects in metalworking and electrical engineering remain extremely unenthusiastic. (Ref. 091155)
