hree rail unions – Transnet, GDBA and GDL – validated, on February 5, the collective agreement negotiated with the Deutsche Bahn’s management on January 30, 2009. It provides, among other things, for a 4.5% wage increase divided in two for 18 months. Although the social conflict about wages didn’t take place, unions are still outraged by the management’s dubious behavior concerning the fight against corruption and want a quick explanation.
