Germany: regions are trying to attract skilled workers

the growing importance of the shortage of skilled workers in Germany. These past few years, over 700 networks gathering different roleplayers (chambers of commerce, employment agencies, towns, businesses, unions…) were created at regional level to bring skilled employees to their region and increase their loyalty. On March 13, five of them received awards from Employment Minister Ursula von der Leyen, during a conference in Berlin called “Day of innovation. Skilled workers for the region.”
