Germany: SPD and labour unions to sign an agreement on the minimum wage

The idea of a minimum wage is making its way. According to several German newspapers, SPD and labour unions have agreed on the concept. The plan which must be introduced to the union council of the SPD, next Monday, September 18th, provides for the introduction of a minimum wage in two stages. (Ref 06897)
