At the request of the future president of the IG Metall union, Berthold Huber, the two leaders of VW and Porsche's European works councils met on October 30, 2007, at the headquarters of IG Metall in Frankfurt to try and settle their conflict about the joint management rules within the future Porsche Automobil Holding SE (see our article No. 70885).
